In light of comments recieved regarding the post about the terek sandpiper I have decided to remove the wording.
Hopefully my point has been made about giving everybody due consideration at the next big bird so we can all watch it, photograph it and enjoy it.
Thank you all for your comments.

Glad you got it Martin , nice shots ...
Very difficult and trying day
Superb Bird
Fabulous pictures!
I like your post about the sandpiper however, I was in the corner watching these 3 birders as they "chased" the bird along the eastern bank and they did not get close to it at all. It was merely flushed by other birds (gulls etc) along the bank until it flew to the northern bank with a Dunlin. I feel sometime it is easy to blame an individual rather than it being the birds general behaviour. I see that some birders were daft, but on this evening most used good fieldcraft, as is shown by the excellent photographs. Would you blame a general walker for flushing the bird intently if they kept to the perimeter path? I'm not having a go at anyone, just expressing my opinion of what actually happened. Great pictures too btw. :-)
Hi Mike thanks for your comments and I have amended my post accordingly. I agree with your point about access anyone is perfectly entitled to walk up and down the bank irrespective of where the bird is.I also agree that most used good fieldcraft.I just think that the few who didn't could have been a little more considerate to the majority.
