been out a few times over Christmas to east park (its only round the corner), and have been pleasantly suprised by the quality and variety of the birds.
The highlights have been; a very pale looking chiffchaff, waxwing, pintail, goldeneye, lesser redpoll,'European' treecreeper, redshank, grey heron, teal and up to 24 goosander.
Along with at least another 30 common species, it is certainly worth a visit during the winter monthsThe thing that suprised me the most was the amount of change over the 2 week period.
My money is on a rare turningup before the winter is out.
